The Barnett Hyper Whitetail 410 is a performance inspired crossbow. Featuring an extremely narrow riser, which reduces the axle-to-axle length to just a hair over nine inches when cocked and weighing only 7.6 lbs, the Hyper Whitetail 410 is easily portable and maneuverable in a treestand, ground blind or wherever you are in the field.
This time of year, I enjoy slowly driving back roads glassing agriculture fields for deer. I do so because I simply love watching deer, but also to identify areas with high deer density and specific bucks worth pursing. These are areas I’ll try to gain permission to hunt.
Good water levels coupled with warm weather make these two months one of the busiest times for canoeists and canoe liveries.
Canoeing is a great outdoor adventure that is well-suited to families, anglers or anyone who just wants to get a little bit off the beaten path. However, there are a few skills and planning tips that will make the day much better.
My father was a big fisher, mostly catfish. I remember every time we would get near a body of water, he would pull one out and clean it to eat. It was an unpleasant process, because he never took the time to avoid the spines on the dorsal and pectoral fin. And the whole experience was sullied by his swollen, bleeding hands. Mr. Crappie Slab-Slanger Gloves (in addition to being very fun to say) are made for fishermen like my own father, or any angler who would prefer to avoid the mess and potential injury while fish cleaning.
iSportsman will be exhibiting at the Tennessee Valley Hunting & Fishing Expo (TVHFE) July 8-10 in Huntsville, Alabama.
It is hard to find a raincoat that keeps you dry and presentable! When Brella promises to offer a high-performance rain gear experience like no other, it is more than a flashy gimmick. This weather protection gear is unlike any other, and we tested them out for ourselves.
Rain happens, it can literally put a damper on any outdoor experience—whether that be hiking, camping, hunting, or fishing. Finding gear that will protect you, look good and not restrict your range of motion so you can do what you need to do, is a simpler task on paper than in practice. But that was before we found Brella.

Old growth forest provides almost no cover and very little year-round food for game animals.
Just about every sporting goods store has an isle dedicated to seed blends that are guaranteed to draw deer like flies to honey, or so they seem. The brand names cause the reader to envision herds of record-breaking bucks grazing like fat cattle and all you have to do is scatter their magic seeds.
Landowners know the best way to attract deer to their property is to offer peak habitat and nutrition, but fruit trees can be expensive and confusing to choose based on their regional needs.
iSportsman ARX will be attending the Tennessee Valley Hunting & Fishing Expo (TVHFE) July 8-10 in Huntsville, Alabama. Though iSportsman has a long history of attending and sponsoring events such as the National Military Fish & Wildlife Association conference, this is iSportsman ARX’s first solo effort to promote the new service on the trade show circuit. TVHFE provides iSportsman ARX the ability to showcase the first-of-its-kind hunt club and landowner management solution launched at the beginning of this year.
Fort Indiantown Gap (FTIG), PA is gearing up for their yearly butterfly tours, and this year the process was made easier with iSportsman. The tours are generally hosted in the first week of July and often draw more than the tour limit of 340 persons over two weekends. To ease the confusion and labor burden of running the tours manually, iSportsman worked with the FTIG team to make sure their vision to go “digital” was put into action. By creating tour-specific permits, iSportsman proved to be an ideal solution for crowd control and tour management. All available permits on the FTIG iSportsman system sold out in a little over two weeks, proving that demand was still high.
