New Poll Says Americans Think They Can Survive in the Wilderness
It looks easy in the movies, doesn’t it? Just forage for some berries, make a bow out of your back hair, take down some rabbits, and start a fire by rubbing two sticks together. Easy enough!
Or at least that is what many Americans believe. According to a recent survey by OnePoll, the average American thinks they can survive 16 days in the wilderness. Despite lack of experience and know-how, a considerable portion felt “very confident” in their ability to start a fire with flint, identify edible berries and avoid dangerous plants.
