There are many great new services coming to iSportsman! After careful consideration of user feedback, we will be introducing two new solutions in the near future. The iSportsmanGX service will be hosted at iSportsman.net, and the iSportsmanX Beta service will be migrated to iSportsmanX.com. Our FAQ breaks down all the details of what you’ll need to know.
What is iSportsmanX?
iSportsmanX is the newest innovative solution to join the iSportsman suite of services that allows users to find outdoor recreational opportunities based on their specific needs. Inspired by the nomadic lifestyle of those who serve in the U.S. military, iSportsmanX hopes to connect those on permanent change of station orders back with the outdoor communities they enjoy, regardless of where they are or what branch they serve. The iSportsmanX beta will be available on iSportsmanX.com this April, and you can sign up for development progress updates here.
What is the difference between the iSportsmanX Beta, iSportsmanX, and iSportsmanGX?
- The iSportsmanX Beta is currently available and is a testing version of the upcoming iSportsmanX application. You can access it today (April 5, 2023) at iSportsman.net, and starting in late April 2023 the iSportsmanX service will be available through iSportsmanX.com.
- iSportsmanGX will launch in late April 2023 and will serve as a redeveloped version of our original iSportsman.net site. It will encompass filterable information on iSportsmanGX recreational locations and opportunities. iSportsmanGX will replace the iSportsmanX beta service currently hosted at iSportsman.net. Once launched, iSportsmanGX can be found by visiting iSportsman.net.
- iSportsmanX, as a fully developed service, will launch in the future. You will be able to access it at iSportsmanX.com once it is live.

- Interactive U.S. Map of iSportsmanGX locations.
- Opportunities that can be filtered by category, name and state.
- Detail pages attached to each opportunity.

What features will be available in the iSportsmanGX service?
- Interactive maps based on user location.
- Description of the opportunities, filterable by category, distance, name, and state.
- Topography information, detailing features of the land.
- Details pages attached to opportunities, providing access to iSportsmanGX and additional information.
- Alphabetized filter-by-state options in the opportunities list.
- Improved filtering options in the opportunities list.
- Modernized UI design updates.
The iSportsmanGX service is being designed to replace the current iSportsman.net webpage.
What features will be available in the finished version of iSportsmanX?
The completed version of iSportsmanX will be the fully featured release of the iSportsmanX application, currently planned to launch at a to-be-determined date. It will have all the features found in the iSportsmanX Beta while adding others, such as searching capabilities, surrounding opportunity recommendations and related articles. The biggest difference is that it will include third party opportunities, in addition to iSportsman-managed opportunities.

What are the system requirements for the iSportsmanX beta version?
The iSportsmanX Beta is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux-based operating systems and can be accessed simply by visiting iSportsman.net. iSportsmanGX and iSportsmanX will both have the same system requirements as the beta.
What Kind of Technical Support is Available?
The iSportsmanX Beta is supported by a team of dedicated developers and help desk personnel who have the technical knowledge to help you get the most out of your iSportsman experience. Support inquiries can be sent directly via email to [email protected], and questions on development progress, feedback, or suggestions can be submitted via our beta feedback form. Interested parties can also sign up for updates on the service development progress.
How Do I Report Issues or Suggest Improvements?
If you experience any issues with the iSportsmanX Beta, you can reach out to us via email at [email protected]. Please provide as much detail as possible in the body of the message, such as which device you are trying to access the iSportsmanX service on, the location you are looking to recreate at, and screenshots of the issue for example. Our team will closely monitor these messages and do our best to resolve each issue. Comments for improvement can be submitted via our beta feedback form, and we will take all suggestions into account.
iSportsmanX does not fit my current needs, what other iSportsman services are available?
iSportsman has a full suite of services customizable for anyone’s needs.
- iSportsmanGX: iSportsmanGX was originally designed to aid military affiliated locations remain in compliance with the Sikes act; now, this unlimited-user land-managed SaaS can be utilized to operate all functions of large land needs and activities, such as hunting, fishing, camping, and day-to-day operations.
- iSportsmanARX: iSportsmanARX was made to offer the same security and situational awareness as iSportsmanGX, but to smaller or privately owned lands and areas. iSportsmanARX allows land-managers to create digital sign-in boards to streamline area activity, and review and manage who is recreating on their land in real-time no matter where they are.
How do I access the iSportsmanX beta?
As of April 5, 2023, you can access the iSportsmanX beta by heading to iSportsman.net. Starting in late April 2023, the iSportsmanX Beta service will be migrated to iSportsmanX.com.
How do I exit the beta program?
To exit, you can simply stop using the application. Nothing else is required.
What is a beta test?
A beta test is used to test and improve technology during development. Beta tests are extremely valuable in improving applications and will help us to make our services the best they can be for the iSportsman community.
Why is a beta necessary?
A beta is necessary for us to make sure our solutions are as high quality as they can be. The iSportsmanX application is still in testing, and we want to make sure people understand that the iSportsmanX Beta is the test of an unfinished product. We greatly appreciate anyone who participates in the beta, as they are helping us to make the application better for everyone.
Do I need to pay to access the iSportsmanX Beta?
You do not need to pay for access to any beta, or even when iSportsmanX fully launches. All iSportsmanX services will be free of charge.
How much will iSportsmanX cost when it is officially launched?
All the iSportsmanX application services will be free of charge and cost nothing to the user.
What information will the betas collect from me?
We use first party cookies, which are only used for internal analytics and system improvements. We do not give away any personally identifying information and we do not use any third-party tracking on the websites.
