Bull Moose Shot in Self-Defense at Idaho Campground
“Are there bears in these woods?” is a typical question casual campers and hikers have about heavily forested areas–regardless if bears inhabit that part of the state. It is certainly a good idea to be aware of the kinds of animals that live in your area, however, it is also imperative to know that bears aren’t the only potentially dangerous animal.
A bull moose in Idaho aggressively charged a camper at a Harrison Lake campsite in Idaho. A combination of the cow’s massive size and aggressive behavior caused the camper to shoot the cow with a .45. The bull moose died and local game wardens launched an investigation.
